Brandon Bierlein, Director of EventsBrandon comes to Drury Lane from Hilton Chicago, where he served as Food & Beverage Manager. Brandon is no stranger to working in a theatrical event venue; after graduating from Western Michigan University, he spent several years as Operations Manager at Midland Center for the Arts. Brandon enjoys working with fundraising events, saying “there is nothing greater than a passionate group of people creating an amazing event and contributing back to their community.” Outside of work, Brandon is an avid theatregoer; he also volunteers with local organizations supporting LGBTQ+ youth and assisting young people experiencing homelessness or instability in housing.
Troy Tornabeni, Executive Chef
Troy believes in creating incredible food and unforgettable dining experiences. A graduate of The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, Troy sharpened his skills at Guaranteed Rate Field, North Shore Country Club, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, and Hollywood Casinos, to name a few. He is also a longtime member of the American Culinary Federation and the prestigious Chefs of Cuisine Chicago chapter. Troy is a firm believer in continuous learning and creating because the exploration of new flavors, ingredients, and dining experiences is endless.
Tammy Blachuciak, Events Manager
The longest serving Event Specialist, Tammy started her career at Drury Lane over 24 years ago! She started as a Banquet Server and soon discovered her passion for Events. Tammy loves managing all types of events but especially enjoys working with repeat clients on annual trade shows and corporate events. Outside of Drury Lane, you can find Tammy at the Country Lake Shake, doing puzzles, and listening to Tim McGraw.
Kimberly Willis, Events Manager

Kimberly is the newest member of the Events Team at Drury Lane; she brings over 18 years’ experience working with organizations such as Walt Disney World, Marriott International, and Compass Group. Planning events is Kimberly’s passion, as she has planned intimate events as well as large galas for over 8,000 guests. She loves creating exciting and unique events and staying up to date with the latest trends in event and wedding planning. Outside of work, she spends time with her husband and two teenage sons baking, shopping, and traveling.
Megan Carroll, Events Representative
Megan is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where she proudly served as President of Alpha Sigma Alpha from 2016 through 2017. Megan is an advocate for community outreach and even served as the emcee for Special Olympics opening ceremony in the spring of 2017. Megan has been with Drury Lane Events since 2017 and has since developed a strong passion for handling Drury Lane weddings, saying “it is very gratifying to know that you made someone’s dream day a reality!” Outside of work, Megan enjoys baking cookies, reading fiction novels, and walking her two dogs, Callie and Bailey.
Christina Melgar, Events Representative
Christina joined the events industry in 2013 after discovering her passion for helping others plan their one-of-a-kind events. She served as On-Site Event Coordinator for various organizations across the North Shore, Event Manager and Employee Trainer at The Playground Games, and Event Emcee for The Taste of Chicago, Millennium Park’s New Years Eve Celebration, and more. Every event represents a special moment in a person’s life, and Christina is particularly enthusiastic about out-of-the-box ideas, specialty menus, and unique décor. In her free time, she enjoys thrift shopping, attending social events, and performing with the Chicago Playback Theatre Ensemble.
Ruth Wojciechowski, Events Assistant
Ruth has been part of the Drury Lane family for over 12 years! She has been a Server, worked in coat check, sold merchandise, and, for the past four years, worked in the Events Services department. Ruth handles all initial event inquiries and loves meeting everyone who comes to Drury Lane to host an event because “everyone has something different they’re looking for and are always very positive and upbeat about their vision!” Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and shopping.
Laura Zawodniak, Group Services Manager
Laura joins Drury Lane after spending more than 18 years working for Ticketmaster. Laura enjoys working closely with patrons and ensuring an extraordinary theatergoing experience. She has also worked with event venues in Kansas City and St. Louis. When she’s not working, Laura spends her time seeing live theatre, cooking, reading, and cheering for the White Sox, Cardinals, and Blues.
Stefanie is excited to join Drury Lane with nearly 10 years of hospitality experience! Stefanie graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Communications & Media Studies. She loves to travel (preferably somewhere with a beach), playing board games with family and friends, and loves watching true crime documentaries, listening to podcasts, and watching movies.
